One of the neat things we saw in Lahaina, was a Banyan tree. This thing is enourmous. It is one tree that grows up, and then drops roots back down to the ground. It does this over and over again, but is still attached to the main tree. It is a neat site. Aloha!

I wrote a paper in college about a banyan tree (it was a symbol in a book). I'm glad to know now what they look like--amazing! :)
Those are some amazing trees! I have never heard that name before...you learn new things every day!
